Hospital teamFirst day of spring“While we were walking the children back home, one of them asked me: ‘Miss, isn't there any more food? Is that all?’. I asked if they were going to have dinner that night. There were eight of them, and they told me: ‘Some nights we have tea and other nights nothing at all’.”

“That is when Jesus showed me that we are His representatives in that place and that we must set the table, as He did with His disciples on the beach. Through that bread we build bonds so we can also give the spiritual bread: praying, studying the Word and sharing the table. He will sit at the table to break the bread, and He will restore the children.”
Ciudad Luz teamGathering in the square“When we started going to the neighborhood, we had to walk in very carefully, because it was full of young people gathering to use drugs in the square and in front of the hall. Lately we do not see that any more: last week we went in the late afternoon and the kids who were always there are gone.”

“As we keep going on Saturdays and building altars, many times it is they themselves who come to us because they want to stop using. Sometimes the changes are gradual, and when you establish God's presence in a territory and move forward making disciples, that place changes for sure. Not because of us, but because God's presence starts to fill the place.”
